Kia Oval 2026 Cricket Season Round-Up
A Summer to Remember
With the final ball bowled and another cricket season at The Kia Oval now behind us, we're looking back on a summer of memorable matches and exceptional experiences. As an authorised hospitality reseller for The Kia Oval, Pitch Experiences welcomed around 1,000 clients across its exclusive hospitality spaces throughout the 2026 season.
From summer showcases and live media broadcasts to appearances and commentary from cricketing legends, there was plenty happening beyond the boundary. On the pitch, the summer delivered everything from domestic T20 and The Hundred's 100-ball format to five days of international red-ball Test cricket. The season culminated in England's 223-run victory over Sri Lanka in the One Day International on 27 September, but it all started back in May, with a new look for one of our hospitality spaces at The Kia Oval…
Domestic Cricket Served The Vitality Blast and The Hundred 2026
The 2026 cricket season got underway for us at The Kia Oval on 22 May, when we welcomed guests for an exclusive showcase of our newly refurbished Clubhouse Suite.
Located on the first floor of the JM Finn Stand, the Pakistan Room is home to Pitch Experiences' Clubhouse Suite, one of our two dedicated hospitality spaces for domestic and international cricket at The Kia Oval, with capacity for up to 100 guests.
It was a great start to the summer, with Surrey securing a 59-run victory over Lancashire Lightning in the Men's Vitality Blast. The Vitality Blast continued through May, June and July, with Surrey enjoying home victories over Middlesex and Lancashire Lightning. The Kia Oval also hosted Women's Vitality Blast Finals Day on 17 July, where The Blaze claimed the title with a ten-wicket victory over Durham.
Attention then turned to The Hundred 2026, which opened at The Kia Oval on 21 July with a men's and women's double-header. The men's match saw MI London get their campaign off to a winning start at their home ground, chasing down 143 to secure a seven-wicket victory.
The Kia Oval went on to host ten matches across five double-headers throughout The Hundred, culminating in the Eliminator on 14 August. Manchester Super Giants advanced to face Trent Rockets at Lord's, where they claimed the men's title and the Rockets lifted the women's trophy.
England vs New Zealand: Test Cricket at The Kia Oval
International cricket returned to The Kia Oval in June, with England taking on New Zealand in the Second Test of the series. Following England's victory at Lord's, there was plenty at stake, and the match delivered five days of gripping Test cricket. New Zealand fought back to claim a 253-run victory on Day Five, levelling the series and setting up a thrilling decider at Trent Bridge.
There was just as much to enjoy off the pitch. Guests in our Superbox and Clubhouse Suite were treated to exceptional dining, fantastic views from behind the bowler's arm and exclusive Q&A sessions with cricketing legends including David Gower, Ian Bell, Graham Gooch and Mark Ramprakash. Day Three brought an extra highlight when Sky Sports Cricket broadcast live from our Superbox balcony, with Ian Ward, Nasser Hussain and Mark Butcher joining us to take in the action from one of the best vantage points in the ground.
England vs Sri Lanka: The Final ODI of the Summer
The summer's final international fixture saw England take on Sri Lanka in the deciding Metro Bank ODI at The Kia Oval. England secured an emphatic victory to wrap up another memorable summer of international cricket in South London.
Looking Ahead to The Ashes 2027 at The Kia Oval
While the 2026 UK cricket season may be over, England's attention now turns overseas for October's ODI tri-series against Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Back at The Kia Oval, there's already plenty to look forward to in 2027.
The summer begins with the ICC World Test Championship Final, where the world's top two Test teams will battle for the title, followed by the Women's Ashes T20 International on 6 July. The excitement continues with the Men's Rothesay Ashes, as England and Australia meet at The Kia Oval for the fifth and final Test of the series. With the anticipation building and the prospect of a series decider at The Kia Oval, the stage is set for five days of unforgettable red ball cricket. Demand for hospitality is already high, with Day Two sold out and Day One availability almost gone.
For now, a big thank you to everyone who joined us at The Kia Oval throughout 2026. It's been a pleasure welcoming so many guests across the season and we can't wait to do it all again in 2027.
